Service Description

Sewing Couture & Bridal Dresses course students acquire the finishing skills to become professional designers to create their own collections for runways and creating elegant bridal wear. This advanced course covers: measurements for custom design, creating corset, lace sewing & embroideries and bridal fittings & construction. First week: Measurements for custom design, body shapes, and adjusting the sewing mannequin to match the client’s body shape. Second week: Creating corset pattern, and sewing with bones for evening dresses. Third week: Draping and sewing the custom designs including lace sewing/embroideries. Fourth week: Finishing the evening custom dress.(zipper, and lining.). Fifth week: Creating bridal dress; corset, skirt base and underskirt. Sixth week: Finishing the bridal dress. Seventh week: Each student will create his or her own evening dress. Eighth week: Finishing each student’s design Supplies Required: Pattern papers, scissors, pins, rulers, fabric, threads, chalk, measuring tape, nylon wrap (cling film), foam, bones, cups, and zippers.
